Fashion trends that shouldn’t come back
I’m all for people going out of their comfort zones and standing out, but there are just some fashion trends that shouldn’t come back. These may come from decades ago or just a few years back. Some aren’t flattering, others are too weird, and still, others are downright ugly.
Disclaimer: This isn’t supposed to be offensive in any way; it’s just a personal opinion.
Skinny Jeans
Skinny jeans are a controversial piece in 2021 and have been since a few years ago. Most members of Gen Z believe that they should disappear. Even though they give form, they are uncomfortably tight. You’ll have to visit hundreds of stores to get the perfect pair and you’ll have to stick to that one for a few years. It’s not worth it.

Low-Rise Bottoms
I can’t even begin talking about these. Low rise bottoms can be one of the most unflattering things I’ve ever seen. This trend is always on and off, but I still don’t understand why. Even though it elongates your torso, it emphasizes your stomach and flattens your legs. Why use them?

Pant Layering
I don’t think I’m the only one who thinks this looks bad. I don’t believe there are any comfort issues with these trends- it just looks funny. It’s so unnecessary. Why should you wear two bottoms? Choose!
Off the Shoulder Tops
This was a huge hit when I was in elementary school and- don’t get me wrong- it looked kind of cute. However, I believe that it was temporary. Everyone got sick of everyone wearing the same shirt. Plus, you couldn’t even put your hand up without the sleeves moving up. I prefer to be comfortable.

Even though I despise these trends, fashion is like a circle. So, at some point in the future, they might come back and you might even catch me wearing one. It’s like the title of Justin Bieber's song, “Never Say Never”. We never know what the future has in store for us.
